Q: How long have you been doing weddings and flowers?
A: I have been designing silk flowers most of my adult life. In 2006 I decided to advance my skills and began working with fresh flowers, and taking classes. I earned my floral design license in 2007. Then in 2008 I launched Outstanding Occasions after working at 4 different floral & event shops to gain experience.
Q: What sets you apart from other floral & event designers?
A: I offer a much more personalized experience than most large floral shops. I will spend as much time as needed with clients to make sure all of the details are set. I will also go the extra mile to perfect your design.
Q: Flowers and overall design can be expensive, is this something we will be able to afford?
A: Often clients aren't sure how much to budget for wedding or other event flowers. For this reason, I provide a complimentary consultation to create a custom proposal outlining the items you need, and the cost involved. There are a wide range of flowers and options, and if there are budget concerns, the best option is to provide me with an estimate of your budget and I can generate ideas to keep the cost within budget.
Q: Who do you work best with?
A: I have worked with a great variety of clients over the past decades. I pride myself on being flexible and open to your vision for planning an outstanding occasion.
Q: Do you take credit cards?
A: Yes, as well as checks and cash. I will absolutely work out payment plans as well. It is different for each client, and that is something we can discuss as we get your contract together.
Q: Do I need to sign a contract with you?
A: Yes, after your consultation, a formal contract will follow allowing you to reserve your date. Then once you return the signed contract and your non-refundable $200 retainer fee, your date will be secured. The balance of your event must be paid in full 3 weeks prior to the actual event.
Q: Will you do a mock up for me?
A: I will be happy to do one for you after you have signed your contract. There will also be a small fee for this service.
Q: What services do you offer?
A: The details and décor of an event has a huge impact on the overall look that you are trying to achieve. For this reason, I offer floral design packages coupled with overall themed design packages. In addition to flowers I also offer rentals, balloon bouquets, themed candy tables, fabric and lighting and much more to make your event outstanding!
Q: What do I need to bring to the complimentary consultation?
A: To help me provide better service, please provide the following information: Event Type, Event Location, Venue, Color Preferences, Dress Swatches, Guest Estimates, Date of Event, along with any ideas and items you would like incorporated into your event design.
Q: How do we start the process of hiring Outstanding Occasions?
A: It is best to schedule that complimentary consultation 6-9 months before your event. At this time we will answer any additional questions not covered on here and get a formal proposal together for your specific needs.
